- All quotes and estimates are without obligation and are held for 3 months.
- For the supply of any trees, hedging, shrubs and plants we will require 100% payment upfront.
- It is your responsibility to read the terms and conditions outlined below. By accepting the quote/estimate, you agree to the terms and conditions specified on this page.
- We will leave the worksite safe and suitably clean and tidy, relative to the site’s original condition.
- Where we are working over multiple days, the site will be left safe, clean and tidy at the end of each day.
- JTFL take all reasonable precautions to avoid damage to fences, gates, walls, paths and the site in general. We are not liable for damage to the site occurring through reasonable and proper execution of the work.
- We are not liable for any property damage resulting from working in poor or adverse weather conditions.
- Should damage to the property or highlighted underground service occur due to negligence or poor working practices, we will accept liability.
- We are not responsible for damage to any underground utilities or services such as water pipes or cables unless you have clearly identified them at the quotation stage.
- We do not work near power lines, telephone lines or other cables which may cause injury.
- If you wish to postpone the work you must inform us as soon as possible. If you wish to cancel the work and we are given less than 48 hours’ notice we reserve the right to charge 50% of the contract.
- Should you want to make changes to the agreed work, you must inform us as soon as possible. All alterations must be itemised in writing with new costings agreed in advanced of any work being carried out.
- Our obligation ends once you have confirmed that you are satisfied with the work completed. If you are not happy with the end result, you must notify us as soon as possible.
- If an unforeseen event prevents us from completing the agreed work, you can decide to postpone or annul the agreement.
- We reserve the right to postpone or cancel any work due to adverse weather or changes to the site that would make the work too hazardous to proceed such as bee, wasp or hornet nests.
- We also reserve the right to postpone or cancel any work which is likely to interfere with wildlife habitats.
- Where we have issued an estimate based on photos provide by you, we reserve the right to annul the agreement and charge accordingly where the photos are misleading or misrepresentative.
- It is your responsibility to inform neighbours and third parties of the proposed works. In particular where branches overhang someone else’s land.
- It is your responsibility to make arrangements with neighbours, tenants and third parties to provide us with access to carry out the work agreed.
- If a neighbour, tenant or third party is not available to provide us access at the agreed date and time, we reserve the right to charge you up to 50% of the proposed work value.
- Where free or paid parking is not available within a suitable distance of the worksite, you are responsible for providing parking permits or finding an alternative option to accommodate our vehicles and machinery.
- It is not our responsibility to obtain parking permits in controlled parking zones. An inability to park may prevent us from completing the work.
- You will be responsible for paying any parking fines where you have failed to provide a valid parking permit or alternative parking options.
- Should we be severely delayed or unable to carry out the agreed work due to lack of parking, we reserve the right to charge up to 50% of the proposed work value.
- You must inform us if any trees, shrubs, or hedges included in the work specifications are not owned by you.
- You are responsible for clearing your property, ornaments, garden furniture, potted plants etc. from the proposed work site to complete the agreed work. If you require our assistance to move or clear an area you must make us aware of this during the quotation stage.
- You must ensure the working area and access to it is free from any pet, animal or other excrement and waste matter.
- It is not our responsibility to create a hygienic working environment. We reserve the right to cancel or postpone work until the worksite is suitably clean enough to operate in. We reserve the right to charge up to 50% of the agreed work value if we need to cancel the job due to unhygienic working conditions. Should one of our teams’ clothing or equipment come into contact with unhygienic substances we may charge a cleaning fee.
- We have the right to subcontract part or all of the work commissioned, where work has been subcontracted these terms and conditions will remain in place.
- Subsequence maintenance of trees and the site after completion of the work is not included unless specified in the quote.
- JTFL will not be liable for the failure of any trees, shrubs or plants which fail to take for reasons beyond our control or for any tree which dies following heavy reduction or pollarding.
- On completion of the quoted works, payment is due within 14 days. Payment can be made via bank transfer or cheque.
- Where invoices are overdue and payment has not been received, we reserve the right to charge daily interest on the debt at a rate of 5% over the Bank of England base rate on a weekly basis.
- Any complaints or concerns after completion of works must be notified in writing or email.
