Run for the Trees
Join Jersey Trees for Life for tree care and maintenance at Val de la Mare on the first working Friday monthly from April to November.
Join Jersey Trees for Life for our third annual Run for the Trees on Sunday 20 September at Val de la Mare, in partnership with Rock N Road Runners and event sponsors, Evelyn Partners.
Runners can choose between a 12 km, 6 km or 3 km run around the arboretum and reservoir. Race winners will have their achievements displayed at the arboretum for the next year and all runners will receive a crafted wooden medal. There's also a prize for top fundraiser.
Most importantly, Run for the Trees is an opportunity for you to contribute to the community and do something healthy in scenic surroundings. Plus of course it should be a lot of fun.
Sign-in on the day opens at 8.45am with start times as follows:
9.30am - 12 km / 6 km
9.40am - 3 km
Runners doing the 6 km or 12km courses will require trail shoes.
Our aim is for Run for the Trees to become a staple in the local running calendar and we encourage anyone interested to get involved and spread the word.
