Flower Hours (pt 2)
A second chance to join us at Adelina Woods as we plant colourful native woodland flowers that'll make the floor look as pretty as the trees.

Jersey Trees for Life is hosting an open volunteering session at Adelina Wood in St Helier on Sunday 11 October at 10.00am.
If you're interested in trees and nature, or fancy getting out into the fresh air for a bit of gentle exercise on an autumn morning, we'd love you to join us.
This time the activity will be planting but for once we're talking about flowers - bluebell, crocus and snowdrop bulbs. It's too early for trees but planting these flowers in autumn means an explosion of colour on the woodland floor from winter into early spring.

We'll meet at 10:00am at Adelina Woods,which is just behind Motor Mall on La Grande Route de St Jean:

The entrance is signposted on the main road (just before Motor Mall if heading north) but if you're not familiar with Adelina Woods, please be aware it's not the largest sign.
Extra parking will be available onsite although we recommend car sharing where possible. It's also close to a bus stop on the main road, for those using public transport: Bus routes 5, 5A(northbound only) and 5S (southbound only) all stop 100-125m south of Adelina Woods.

For those joining us, please bear in mind the following:
- First-time volunteers need to complete a one-off volunteer agreement before attending; if you consent to emails, you'll receive our monthly volunteer update.
- Check the forecast and wear or bring layers and a hat, or sunscreen, as appropriate.
- Ensure you bring protective gloves, e.g. gardening gloves.
- Avoid exposing your skin to bites, scratches and stings by wearing long sleeves and trousers (light material is good).
- You may get tired so don’t push yourself too hard; take it at your own pace.
- Bring snacks and drinks to maintain energy levels.
- We provide equipment but please bring a trowel if you have one.
- Ask lots of questions and have fun!
